Every single week, we match buyers with off-market homes. How do we do it? We have a list of home sellers who have specifically told us that they don’t want to sell their homes on the traditional market and are willing to sell their homes to a buyer for the right terms and price.

Why do we have such a list? Well, there are several reasons. For one, with the pandemic, many don’t want people walking through their homes and potentially spreading germs. They might also want to avoid the inconvenience of selling on the traditional market, especially if that means them having to leave the home during showings when COVID restrictions are still in effect.

Ultimately, many sellers are in a strong equity position right now; they don’t have to move, but if they could, it’d be a huge positive for them. That’s why we’ve created a list of potential sellers and keep them on the sidelines until we’re able to match them with a buyer.

This program is advantageous to buyers as well because buyers in today’s marketplace will have to compete with sometimes dozens of other buyers to win a home sale. Some buyers that we represent have lost out on several homes and are reasonably frustrated.
