About Tom Dunn

Tom Dunn grew up in Excelsior and now calls Wayzata home, but his expertise covers the entire Twin Cities metro. With nearly 20 years of real estate experience, Tom has built a reputation as a trusted guide for everyone from first-time buyers to seasoned investors. He’s particularly well-known for his work in corporate relocation and has a deep understanding of neighborhoods, school districts, and communities across the region.

Before real estate, Tom worked in client service within advertising and promotion marketing.

He earned a BA in Economics and an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. Blending his business background with a lifelong passion for architecture, remodeling, and home design, Tom brings both insight and enthusiasm to every transaction.

Clients appreciate his ability to simplify the complex, provide straight answers, and make the process not only manageable—but fun. His goal is always to exceed expectations and help people feel confident in every decision.

Outside of real estate, Tom has purchased and managed a range of investment properties, including flips, long-term rentals, and a vacation rental in Tucson, Arizona. He also started a real estate photography company along the way—he’s never been one to shy away from a new challenge. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him skiing, biking, hiking the North Shore, or spending time when he can in Tucson, his favorite warm-weather destination.

Looking ahead, Tom’s goal is to continue to serve his past, current, and new clients, and grow his rental portfolio.
