About Kaila Wass

Kaila is northern Minnesota through and through. She grew up on a four-generation family farm outside of Deer River where hard work, community, and knowing your neighbors aren’t just nice ideas, they’re the norm.

College gave her a chance to travel, but there was never any doubt she’d find her way back home. Now based in the Bigfork/Marcell area, Kaila helps others put down roots in the same place that’s always had her heart.

She’s a Deer River High School graduate with a degree in mathematics and education from Concordia College in Moorhead. Before real estate entered the picture, Kaila collected a wide-ranging resume that provides real value her clients. Real estate wasn’t part of the original plan, but luckily, it stuck. She was licensed as a REALTOR in 2019, grew her business year after year, and finally made the leap to full-time in 2024.

What really sets Kaila apart is how well she knows the area and how clearly she explains the process. Thanks to her teaching background, she has a knack for breaking things down without talking over people or burying them in jargon. Clients feel informed, comfortable, and confident from start to finish. To Kaila, this isn’t “the middle of nowhere,” it’s home, and she knows it inside and out.

She wants her clients to remember her as someone who’s well-connected, down-to-earth, and genuinely invested in the community, not just another name on a sign.

When she’s not working, Kaila is usually outdoors, traveling, or knee-deep in a DIY project. She lives on a farmstead with her husband and their two chaos-filled boys, embracing the same hands-on, community-centered lifestyle she grew up with. That grounding - equal parts hustle, heart, and honesty- is the same approach she brings to every client relationship.
