About John Hodnett

I grew up in Edina and now live in Downtown Saint Paul, soaking up all the energy and character this city has to offer. I graduated from Benilde-St. Margaret’s High School and studied business at St. John’s University and the University of Minnesota.

Before real estate, I spent years in sales management with outdoor product brands—leading teams, growing businesses, and learning the value of listening. I transitioned into real estate to apply those skills in a more personal, one-on-one setting.

Helping people make big moves while building real relationships felt like the right next chapter.

What sets me apart? I’ve lived enough life to know buying or selling a home is never just a transaction. My experience helps me anticipate client needs before they even arise, and I pride myself on being efficient, market-savvy, and truly invested in the people I work with. I want every client to feel supported and confident from start to finish.

My goals are simple: maintain a healthy work/life balance, help as many people as I can, and create great memories with my kids and family. That balance keeps me grounded and motivated.

Outside of real estate, I love trying new recipes, hanging with my sidekick Cooper the Corgi, and getting way too emotionally invested in college football—especially when the Gophers are playing.

For me, real estate is more than a job—it’s a way to serve, connect, and make the process genuinely enjoyable.
